Personal Project

This personal project is a technical and visual exploration of sand simulations, particles, and grains in 3D. This playful experiment was inspired by the geometric and ornamental qualities of traditional Rangoli patterns. Created as an experimental study in SideFX Houdini, the project focuses on fluid, organic motion and the transformation of particles into expressive visuals.

Rangoli is a traditional Indian folk art form in which intricate patterns are created on the floor using materials such as colored sand, rice flour, flower petals, or other natural substances. It is made to celebrate festivals and welcome guests, and is believed to ward off evil spirits while bringing good luck, prosperity, and joy.
